Climate positive:
The good news...
Climate Positive Flooring is rare. Nature has infinite solutions to improve our lives and our living environment, if we are willing to look for them. And we have been doing that for almost a hundred years. That sounds fantastic. But what exactly is climate positive?
Climate Positive Flooring is rare. Nature has infinite solutions to improve our lives and our living environment, if we are willing to look for them. And we have been doing that for almost a hundred years. That sounds fantastic. But what exactly is climate positive?
Let's make it happen together!
The CO2 impact of flooring products needs a matrix. The definition by the Healthy Materials Lab at Parsons School of Design in New York is an important guideline for us in this regard.
’At this moment, there is no universal threshold for ‘low embodied carbon’ flooring products. After discussing this research with experts, we have imposed a strict standard upon ourselves that can meet the emission targets for 2030. These products, labeled with ‘LEC’, remain below 5kg of CO2 per square meter.
All Duracryl products meet this standard and can therefore rightly be called ‘Climate Positive Flooring’. By choosing Duracryl floors, you opt for significantly lower CO2 emissions compared to petroleum-based floors. In doing so, you contribute to a positive climate impact for future generations.
