Our product Durabella Seamless Terrazzo is located in the head office of Holland Casino in Venlo.

Building the most sustainable and beautiful casino in Europe was the challenge Holland Casino Venlo took on at MVSA Architects. In May 2020, the company Fried van de Laar was asked by Holland Casino in consultation with Brink project management to participate in the tender for the realization of the complete completion of their casino in Venlo. The new building has an official FSC sustainability label. This means that all wood material used meets the sustainability requirements of the FSC. This is just one of many examples why this is the most sustainable casino in Europe. Our product Durabella Seamless Terrazzo is located in the head office of Holland Casino in Venlo. Durabella is composed of various components based on a specially modified binder, marble aggregates and/or natural stone. Durabella Biopolymer is made from vegetable oil and is Red List Free.

It was our spectacular design for a flower-shaped, sculptural building that won us the tender for Holland Casino Venlo. Behind its show-stopping good looks, it embodies two major design principles: sustainability, and optimizing the user experience. From a distance, our unique building is highly visible, appearing as a kind of welcoming gateway to the Netherlands (Venlo is just a short hop from the German border). A colour-changing interactive façade provides a breath taking light show during the darker hours, while emphasizing the casino’s flower-shaped structure. The architectural design is closely intertwined with the integral sustainability concept. This makes Venlo’s new venue a pioneer of sustainable C2C development.

DURABELLA

Durabella is made out of various components based on a special modified binder, marble aggregates and/or natural stones. Durabella Biopolymer is made from vegetable oil and is Red List Free.

The beauty and richness of traditional Terrazzo, orginally invented by the Romans, improved with the latest technologies of today, form a unique flooring system. Durabella has exceptional characteristics in appearance, aesthetics and durability. Durabella is a decorative floor finish, made of a colored bio-based binder and mixed in a matrix of marble, glass and other natural materials. After finishing, the natural beauty of the aggregates in a colored setting is exposed to provide a beautiful, durable and flexible Terrazzo.
