However, the office building was severely outdated and the associated outdoor space also offered a cluttered and unattractive appearance. Atelier PRO designed a new headquarters that not only provides an improved appearance but also serves as an example for the quality of the other buildings on the site, and that does justice to the international position and the innovative, high-tech character of the company. With this design, atelier PRO wants to question what is typical of the greenhouse environment, what is urban and what is rural. But also what the future holds for the Dutch landscape: the project shows that, even where things ‘create themselves’, it is still possible to shape the environment.
