Provincial House South Holland

Renovation of the South Holland Provincial Government Office. The team designed the renovation as an ingenious, sustainable transformation that does justice to the original architecture, with an eye for the Province's future spatial needs and climate ambitions to make all its buildings climate-neutral. In the design for the renovated South Holland Provincial Government Office, bringing in daylight ("Dutch light") was the most important theme. Above the former courtyard on the second floor is a central zone containing skylights. These filter natural light into the building in a special way, while the roof keeps direct sunlight out. This helps combat overheating and expresses our vision to make the building lighter.
